Land stewardship and protection efforts directly contribute to improving the health of Casco Bay. Scenic vistas, natural habitats, and pervious surfaces, which percolate stormwater before it mixes with the tides, are all wonderful ways land protection efforts benefit the Bay.
It isn’t often that our community has the opportunity to help preserve and protect entire islands in the Bay, especially ones that would remain undeveloped and available for visits by the public. That’s why Friends of Casco Bay is delighted to support Maine Coast Heritage Trust’s (MCHT) efforts to save The Goslings, two small islands in Harpswell that are a favorite spot of Casco Bay boaters.
Maine Coast Heritage Trust must raise $925,000 by September 1st to permanently protect and care for The Goslings. You can help. For more information, please go to www.mcht.org/goslings.
